Nintendo of America’s summer schedule

Between the launch of Wii Fit and August Nintendo of America isn’t releasing anything. Their next game will be Mario Super Sluggers, a compilation of Wii Sports baseball motion control with Mario Superstar Baseball, scheduled to come out on August 28. A two month turnaround is hardly a wait. Mario Super Sluggers just came out in Japan last week.

On September 8 Nintendo will publish Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir, a detective adventure game where you search for items in painted scenes to get closer to a million dollar inheritance. The title is based on an existing series of PC mystery games by Big Fish Games, but it isn’t a port. Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir and its logic puzzles solved with the microphone is only for the Nintendo DS.

Later in the month Nintendo will revisit some of their franchises like Wario Land with Wario Land: Shake It! We discussed this before, but if you haven’t heard Wario Land: Shake It! is a 2D platfomer where you shake the remote to empty treasure bags and attack enemies. I think Europe got the best title, Wario Land: The Shake Dimension, out of the three names for the game. Europe also gets to search for coins with Wario three days before North America. We get it on September 29.

kirbyss.jpgOn the same day as Wario Land: Shake It!, Nintendo will release Kirby Super Star Ultra for the Nintendo DS. The Super Nintendo mini-game collection, Kirby Super Star, has been updated with animated cutscenes and extra mini-games for the remake. Revenge of the King, which sounds similar to Revenge of Metaknight, and Meta Knight Ultra are the two announced additions. Kirby Super Star Ultra also has three touch screen controlled mini-games that can be transferred with single cart download play and a local wireless mode.

To sum it up, here is a quick cheat sheet with Nintendo of America’s pre-E3 game plan.

Super Mario Sluggers – August 28
Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir – September 9
Wario Land: Shake It! – September 29
Kirby Super Star Ultra – September 29
