Nintendo and Hulu shared the final date for support for the Switch Hulu streaming service app. The cut-off date on both Nintendo’s support site and Hulu is now February 5, 2026. The Hulu site also noted the application hasn’t been available to download since November 6, 2025, but if you already owned it at one point it should still be available to grab from the eShop. [Thanks, Wario64!]
The Hulu Switch streaming app first showed up worldwide in November 2017. It functioned as you expected. If you subscribed to the service and were connected to the internet, you could watch shows on your system. The Switch 2 did not support it.
Nintendo has had a record of its platforms supporting various streaming services. The Switch was the fourth to be compatible with this one. Hulu apps, in the past, also appeared on the 3DS, Wii, and Wii U. Naturally, support for all three also ended. It stopped working on the Wii in January 2019, then on the other two in February 2019.
Hulu streaming app support for the Switch ends on February 5, 2026. There’s still no word yet on whether or not we’ll see a similar app for the Switch 2 and when one could potentially appear.
