Nintendo Switch Online Adds Dr. Mario SP And Metroid SP

On December 12, 2018, we knew Adventures of Lolo, Ninja Gaiden, and Wario’s Woods would be added to the Nintendo Switch Online’s Nintendo Entertainment System game library. But, it turns out they aren’t the only ones. Dr. Mario SP and Metroid SP are also both available through the service.

As a reminder, the SP versions of the Nintendo Switch Online NES game collection have special unlocks in place. This means when you start, you might find yourself at an advantage with extra equipment or at a certain point in the game. Dr. Mario SP will pick up right before a special scene, while Metroid SP gives you all of Samus’ equipment and places her at the Ridley boss fight.

The Nintendo Switch Online subscription service is immediately available, with five new games available in its library in all regions as of December 12, 2018.
