To go along with the Mario Paint Nintendo Switch Online release, the company also shared a walkthrough trailer that shows the game’s different modes. It begins by showing the interactive title screen. From there, the Coloring Book functionality is highlighted. That’s followed by the Drawing Board, a free play mode that lets you sketch with a mouse using various tools. The Joy-Con 2 Switch 2 mouse controls are highlighted in Mario Paint at the one minute mark. That’s followed by peeks at the fly swatting minigame, the stamp designer, the animation elements, the music composition capabilities, and how the Suspend Point system lets you save more works. It ended by confirming Nintendo Music now includes the soundtrack too.

This comes after the major update that brought GameCube games to Nintendo Switch Online. You need the Expansion Pack membership tier and a Switch 2 to access those. Members can also purchase a GameCube controller for their Switch 2 to use with those games.

Mario Paint is now available on the Switch and Switch 2 via Nintendo Switch Online, and you need a mouse or Joy-Con 2 to play it.
