Nintendo Switch Online NES and SNES Update Will Bring Crystalis, Breath of Fire 2, and Kirby Super Star

Nintendo prepared a holiday gift for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. On December 12, 2019, the Nintendo Switch Online NES and SNES apps will be updated. In each region, more games will be added, with North America and Europe getting some different titles than Japan. This is the first update since Nintendo revealed it would go to an irregular update schedule.

In North America and Europe, six games have been confirmed. The NES app will be getting Crystalis and Journey to Silius. The SNES app will let people play Breath of Fire 2, Kirby Super Star, Star Fox 2, and Super Punch Out!!. These will join the already established lineup.

In Japan, only four games will be added. The Famicom app will get Famicom Wars and Route-16. The Super Famicom app will have Hoshi no Kirby Super Deluxe and Star Fox 2.

A Nintendo Switch Online offer will also be available for the NES controllers. Instead of $59.99, they will be $29.99 between December 5, 2019 and January 10, 2020. )The SNES controllers are sold out.)

Anyone with an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription can access the NES and SNES apps and play classic games. In addition, if you make a Japanese eShop account, you can download the Famicom and Super Famicom apps. So long as your primary account has an active subscription, you can use it with the Japanese apps.
