Nintendo’s newest Nintendo Switch Sports Resort trailer is out and it not only shows all of the different activities, but the motion controls associated with them. We also get a better idea of what our custom avatars can look like and how we can explore Wuhu island via things like power cruising on a jet ski or skateboarding. This gives us an idea of what to expect when the collection is released both alone and in a Switch 2 bundle.

The video first begins by showing Wuhu island. It highlights some of the places we can explore in planes and on jet skis, then some of the hubs. After that, we get to see a more organized menu that lets us see all 12 of the sports and select them individually. Each one has a clear icon showing what the sport is, with someone making a slam dunk for the Basketball one and Table Tennis showing a ping pong ball flying toward the viewer. That menu also shows how the UI includes buttons on the bottom to immediately take us to a Friend Lobby, Casual Online Play, Island Crown, Warm Up, Item Center, the avatar Customize menu, and Options.

After that, the focus is on looking at different sports. As we see gameplay, the bottom right or upper left corner includes a picture-in-picture view to highlight how the motion controls will work for each one. This gives a better idea of what it will be like to play and the button presses that might also be needed.

As mentioned earlier, there will also be a Switch 2 console bundle with the game. That costs $499.99. It nets you a console and a digital copy of the game.

Nintendo Switch Sports Resort will come to the Switch 2 on October 22, 2026.
