Nintendo Throwing Public 3DS Event At Tokyo Game Show Venue

Chiba’s Makuhari Messe is home for a number concerts and events like the Tokyo Game Show. Nintendo rented out the space on January 8, 9, and 10th  (Coming of Age Day holiday weekend) for the first public Nintendo 3DS showing anywhere in the world.

Satoru Iwata, President of Nintendo, announced the event in a video. Iwata said conveying the experience of 3D is a challenge, which is one reason why Nintendo is hosting the showing. Details like exhibited titles and ticket prices (if any) will be announced at a later date.

 

The Nintendo 3DS hardware arrives in Japanese stores on February 26.
