Team Ninja has announced a Nioh 2 closed alpha test. On the official Team Ninja Twitter account, it was revealed that some selected players have been invited to test out an early build of the game. It will run from May 24, 2019 until June 2, 2019. Their feedback will help shape development.

In the tweet, Team Ninja noted that the sample size of players will not be increased. The people invited to play will be the only ones to try Nioh 2 during this test. However, a new trailer was released to coincide with the news and the developer advised people interested in the game to keep an eye on the account for news about future developments.
