Nippon Ichi, the makers of Disgaea and many other strategy RPGs, are going a totally different route for their first WiiWare game. Let’s Zenryoku Hitchhike (loosely: Let’s Give It Our All Hitchhike) is a 1000 Wii Point ($10) WiiWare game about… hitchhiking to escape from a mad butcher. Players flag down “cars” by pointing at them with the remote then mimic motions to get the car to stop. Hitchhike your way to the goal on the board and you’re safe from the butcher.
Cars are great, but you can also catch a ride from cows, robots, space shuttles, and dinosaurs. What, no Prinnies? We’ll have to wait until March 31 when Let’s Zenryoku Hitchhike comes out in Japan to see if any Nippon Ichi designed characters make their way into the game.
