NIS America Didn’t Bring Cave Story 3D To E3, But We Have Another Look At It

If you logged on to the Nintendo eShop you may have noticed Cave Story, the DSiWare version, is the staff pick of the week. Well, at least in North America. Cave Story 3D is a 3D remake of the game from Nicalis and NIS America.

In addition to 3D models, Nicalis plans on adding extra levels from the Cave Story beta and bonus music tracks. So, it’ll be a Cave Story remix, perhaps. I wanted to play Cave Story 3D (again) at E3, but NIS America’s space (inside the Tecmo Koei booth) only had Atelier Totori.

We do have an update about Quote’s 3D transformation, though! NIS America sent us a new batch of screenshots from the Lab and Sand Zone.

Cave Story 3D is slated for August 9 in North America.
