As a note, these beers are not the kind that “listened” to Uematsu’s music during the brewing process. They’re normal beers that Uematsu helped develop. With Seki no Ichi Brewery, he came up with “Uematsu Nobuo presents Ore no Beer Symphony.” According to a representative from Seki no Ichi, Uematsu drew inspiration from Belgian beers for this one. It’s got a deep flavor and higher alcohol content, and it’s meant to be slowly enjoyed on your own. It symbolizes the multiple layers in Uematsu’s music.

Meanwhile, Uematsu’s collaboration with Noymond Brewery resulted in “Uematsu Nobuo presents Ore no Beer Pop.” Unlike the usual Ore no Beer, this one is meant to be enjoyed in a more lively and social setting. A Noymond Brewery representative describes it as a pale ale with a refreshing citrus aroma. It doesn’t have a lot of bitterness, and it makes you want to keep coming back for more. It symbolizes the brighter earworm types of music that Uematsu composes.

The beers that Nobuo Uematsu helped develop will be available for advance sales at the Ichinoseki beer festival in Iwate, and you’ll be able to attend it from August 22 to 24, 2025.
