imageNo, this isn’t a new Imagine game from Ubisoft. The Nintendo DS with software developed by Community Engine can be used to monitor patients in medical care.

Suguroku DS is designed to be an easy to use program to enter vital information such as a patient’s temperature, blood pressure (pictured), and other vitals. Information written on the DS is then to a computer network where it can be further distributed. Think of this as a portable and networked clipboard chart.

The software is scheduled to go on sale in June 2009 in Japan. Community Engine is taking reservations now if you have 40,000 yen ($400) to spare. Obviously, this isn’t being designed for your average DS owner. It’s a medical platform and priced accordingly. So, if you’re planning to collect all the DS games in the world start saving for Suguroku DS now.
