Square Enix announced that everyone can get a chance to test out Octopath Traveler 0 with a free demo. It will be available on November 11, 2025 following the State of Play Japan 2025 showcase.
There are some limitations to the Octopath Traveler 0 demo. The first is that you can’t play for that long. You are limited to three total hours. This should be enough time to get through the introduction and start on your quest for revenge against Auguste, Herminia, and Tyto, the three tyrants who burned down the main character’s hometown in the name of fame, wealth, and power. It also means you only get to go through the initial slices of the game. However, this will contain the full character creator and allow someone to make a save file that can carry over to the full title.

This is the third console game in the series. The previous two are Octopath Traveler and Octopath Traveler 2. Both of those games are playable on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
Octopath Traveler 0 will come to the Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on December 4, 2025, and a demo will be available on November 11, 2025.
