Octopath Traveler has a release date. The Nintendo Switch RPG will be released on July 13, 2018. It will be available in standard and collector’s editions, with the collector’s edition including a pop-up book with the eight main characters, a coin, and a CD with the game.

In addition to the special edition news and release date, two new characters were revealed. Tressa is a merchant. She has a purchase special action, which allows her to buy from NPCs. Alfyn is an apothecary. He is able to make inquiries about NPCs to learn more about them and get information others can not.

We also learned a bit more about job classes. Every character has a main class. For example, Tressa is a merchant. The trailer noted that you can have a combined extra job for a character. So as an example, Tressa could be a Merchant and Apothecary, Marchant and Warrior or Merchant and Dancer.

Octopath Traveler will come to the Nintendo Switch on July 13, 2018.
