Vanillaware director Kentaro Ohnishi recently mentioned that in addition to getting enhanced looks, Odin Sphere: Leifdrasir will also feature new “mid-bosses” that were made from monsters that they weren’t able to fit in the original version.

The Odin Sphere HD remake will also feature various new battle actions, maps, animations, and a new fighting system that will give it a familiar sense of control that you’d get from Dragon’s Crown or Muramasa.

Odin Sphere: Leifdrasir will release in Japan on January 14, 2016 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita.
