A rather whimsical game is going to appear at BitSummit 7 Spirits. Wataru Nakano × Miyazaworks will have Onkou Cha-han, a game about cooking rice, on display. In this game, players crumple a plastic bag to help the chef prepare the meal.
Onkou Cha-han is billed as a “funny controller” game and is a part of Wataru Nakano × Miyazaworks’ Ctrl Labo line. As you crumple the bag in time with the cooking, the fried rice will be made. You can see it in action in the trailer below. A platform is unknown, since it appears as “other” here.
This is actually one of two games from the developer at BitSummit 7 Spirits. It will also have Salesbirdman present. However, that game is a total mystery at the moment.
Wataru Nakano × Miyazaworks is known for having unconventional Ctrl Labo games at events. For example, at BitSummit Volume 2018, Tokyo Game Show 2018, and Tokyo Sandbox 2019, it had Only the Box Blues on display. This is a game where a naked man is trying to run home to safety and only has a cardboard box to cover himself. If you lift the box up, he runs faster. However, if people catch him during that period, you lose. If you see people around, you have to drop the box to make him hide inside of it.
BitSummit 7 Spirits will be held on June 1-2, 2019 in Kyoto, Japan.
