Platinum Games made 30 VR missions for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance exclusive for the PlayStation 3 version. These missions are different from Raiden’s usual lightning bolt action. One mission has players sneak through a level as a Dwarf Gekko and it plays kind of like a platformer. Raiden appears to play sniper in another stage and there’s a level where you have to fight barehanded.
Players can also grab the Hebi damashii (Snake Spirit), a wooden sword that will allow players to complete the game without killing cyborgs.
The VR missions and Hebi damashii sword will be released for free on March 14 and will be free until April 1.
