The Twitter account for the upcoming film One Piece Film Red revealed the Straw Hat Pirates’ exclusive movie outfits and confirmed Shanks will appear. While the art is uncolored, it still allows viewers to have a good look at the unique fashion Luffy and his friends will be sporting during the movie. Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, designed the outfits.

In the movie, the Straw Hat Pirates will visit a certain island to participate in a music festival. Knowing that the plot will involve a music festival may put their clothing into perspective. For example, the fans that Chopper has in his bandana resemble the ones that idol fans wave to cheer on their biases.

Shueisha and Toei Animation announced One Piece Film Red alongside the 1000th episode of the anime. Goro Taniguchi, who directed One Piece: Defeat The Pirate Ganzack in 1998, is the director for the film. This is also the first One Piece movie to feature Jinbe as an official member of the Straw Hat Pirates.
There is also a hand-written message from Eiichiro Oda that is available from the One Piece Twitter account. Here is a translation. It confirms Shanks will be in One Piece Film Red.
