One Piece: Gigant Battle 2 – New World follows the Straw Hat pirates as Luffy takes control of land in the game’s adventure mode. What do you do after you rule the world? Head to the Thousand Arena.
This battle royal mode is a feature players unlock. After you step in the Thousand Arena, Portgas Ace or whoever you pick needs to take down 100 other challengers. Not one by one, though. One Piece: Gigant Battle 2, much like Ganbarion’s earlier fighting game Jump Ultimate Stars, has four player battles.
Players can prepare for the Thousand Arena by customizing their characters. In conquest mode, the main adventure mode, characters gain experience points and when you level up you get more skill points. These let you equip skills like a double jump and attacks for each character.
One Piece: Gigant Battle 2 – New World comes out on Thursday in Japan.
