Onechanbara Origin is a remake of the first two Onechanbara games and it has more of an animated look with cel-shading. This week’s issue of Famitsu shares a closer look at Aya, Saki, and the new character Rei that was recently revealed .
In addition to getting a new look with character designs by Katsumi Enami, the voice actresses for Aya and Saki are new as well:
Aya (CV: Yoko Hikasa)
Saki (CV: Hiromi Igarashi)
Rei (CV: Yu Kobayashi)
A woman who contacts Aya as an information broker. She’s a business partner who offers Aya information on her family that she’ll give in exchange for subjugating some undead. Her identity is mostly unknown, but she appears to have a sister that she doesn’t get along with, similar to Aya and Saki.

Onechanbara Origin releases for PlayStation 4 in Japan in 2019. A worldwide release hast yet to be announced.
