Onimusha: Warlords got new info recently that goes over features coming back in the remastered version, such as the Dark Realm, and Fluorite. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
Dark Realm
The Dark Realm is a hive of monsters that spans many floors, and is home to lots of strong monsters. You can’t mindlessly fight through this one, unless you want to die. On the other hand, should you make it through the challenge, tempting rewards await.
You can enter this realm by asking a mysterious old man you meet along the way.
The Dark Realm is made up of closed spaces with no way out. Use everything at your disposal in order to survive and fight another day.
The Issen counter skill will be very useful when tackling the Dark Realm, as defeating enemies with it drops health pickups.
At the end of each room, two lights will appear – one that lets you exit, and one that leads further below. As you keep going deeper, monsters will continue to get stronger. If you decide to exit, you must start over, but you can keep your spoils up to that point.
Fluorite
As you go along the story, you’ll find Fluorite stones along the way. If you collect a certain amount of these and beat the game, you’ll unlock new outfits and minigames.
You usually can’t see where Fluorite is hidden. However, with a special item, you can see them easily as they’ll flash.
Finally, a new commercial has been shared for the game:
Onimusha: Warlords will make its Japanese debut on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on December 20, 2018. It will make its worldwide debut on all three consoles and the PC on January 15, 2018.
