As part of the Capcom State of Play June 2026 reveals, we got a release date and demo shadowdrop for Onimusha: Way of the Sword. The trial will be available for all PS5 players on June 2, 2026. It is unknown if this also applies to the PC and Xbox Series X versions as of time of writing. The full game will release on September 25, 2026, meeting the 2026 release window Capcom promised.
This meant two trailers actually showed up during the presentation. The first focused on Miyamoto Musashi, our new protagonist. We saw the character face some enemies and utilize Oni abilities. In particular, the opponent in this showcase was Shuten Doji. That trailer also confirmed pre-order bonuses include a Sealed Curse sword appearance and Lion Dog charm.
Meanwhile, the second trailer focused on what we’ll see in the demo. People who play that get a Kubi Akari charm for the full game.
