Only You Can Put Dragon Quest’s World Back Together

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

We’ve seen plenty of figure collections, at least a dozen Dragon Quest ones from Square Enix. Another slime pack wouldn’t cut it for the series’ 25th anniversary, they had to create something new. Enter the Dragon Quest I diorama.

Square Enix cut the world map into eleven pieces, which fans can collect and reassemble. The Dragon Quest I map series also has nine monsters like a chimera, dracky, golem, Dragonlord, and of course a slime.

Each map/monster pack costs 735 yen ($9.50) and contains one piece. Like trading arts figures, you won’t be able to see which piece or monster is in the package until you open it. The Dragon Quest I diorama series comes out in Japan in March 2012.
