Custom Battler Bomberman takes the dress up system in Bomberman Live a step further. In the upcoming Nintendo DS game the costume you choose affects Bomberman’s abilities. You can create an agile Bomberman or a Bomberman built for war armed with a bunch of bombs. Mix and match parts to make the best Bomberman for each mission. Once you found the optimal combination you can bring your custom creation online into a Nintendo Wi-Fi battle. The concept art above has a sample of the possibilities and in the bottom right hand corner Mega Man’s long lost robotic cousin.
Japan is scheduled to get Custom Battler Bomberman on December 4th. At this time a North American release has not been announced, but Bomberman is a cash cow for Hudson. You can bet on them releasing Custom Battler Bomberman internationally sometime next year.
