Out of nowhere here comes James Pond: Codename Robocod

Before Electronic Arts was synonymous with Madden they used to publish games platforming games starring an aquatic version of James Bond. The James Pond series quickly faded into existence after the 16-bit era, but according to the ESRB Codemasters is digging it out of its grave. James Pond: Codename Robocod, the second game in the series, was enhanced and re-released in Europe in 2005. It looks like Codemasters picked up this remake and are planning to bring it to North America. The question is will anyone care about it?

Codemasters would have much better luck with the re-release if the first James Pond game appeared on the virtual console or other downloadable service to get people to at least recognize the washed up hero. But even then I can’t imagine anyone paying $30 or even $20 for this.
