Aksys pinned down the release date for Over Requiemz, the Idea Factory Otomate otome game inspired by The Wizard of Oz. It turns out Summer 2026 means August 20, 2026. It also confirmed that, while the game is going to be available via multiple storefronts, only the Aksys-direct option includes an edition with the soundtrack.

Over Requiemz involves the world of Oz and references to characters from the original L. Frank Baum The Wizard of Oz books in the otome game. Most obvious is the fact that Dorothy here is a man who is the convict supervisor of Claude (The Scarecrow), Kaize (Tippetarius/Ozma), Molly (Tin Man), and Noil (Cowardly Lion). Our avatar Yuhiru gets sent to this other world via a tornado, just like the original movie. When she arrives, she’s sentenced to die just like the people Dorothy is escorting. It’s up to the group to find a way to survive via heading to ruins.

As for the different editions, the standard option is $49.99. That’s the one we’ll see everywhere, including at places like Amazon and GameStop. The Aksys-exclusive option is $59.99. That extra $10 includes the soundtrack CD. The official art for that already appeared, but the company didn’t mention how many tracks are on it.

Here’s how the special edition of the Wizard of Oz otome will look:
