In addition to the temporary Splatoon 2 demo, Nintendo will be offering selling the game for 30% off the regular price during the event. Also, if you play the demo and buy the game, you’ll be able to carry over all your progress too. You’ll also be able to get a free 7-day trial of Nintendo Switch Online, which is required to play this online multiplayer trial. Even if you’ve activate a previous free trial, you’ll still be eligible for this special trial too.

This isn’t the only major, recent Splatoon 2 announcement. There will be one more Splatfest during 2020. What seemed like the final Splatfest was held on July 21, 2019. However, Nintendo is bringing back the event on May 22, 2020 to settle the mayonnaise versus ketchup dispute.

The Splatoon 2 demo will begin on April 29, 2020 and last until 6:59pm PT/9:59pm ET on May 6, 2020. You can download the special demo from the Nintendo eShop ahead of its launch starting on April 23, 2020.
