Another one of Panic Button’s port projects has been announced, and this time it is not a Nintendo Switch title. The studio is bringing Unknown Worlds’ Subnautica to the PlayStation 4. It will be available digitally and physically, courtesy of Gearbox Publishing, in Winter 2018.

 

Subnautica is set in the 22nd century. Players are trapped on an alien planet underwater. Your goal is to survive, via crafting, dealing with the underwater creatures, finding food sources and gathering materials to create a hub for yourself in the ocean. Your goal is to eventually get a way back to your own planet. It also has permadeath options, for people who are looking for a real challenge,

Subnautica is immediately available on the Xbox One and PC. Other recent Panic Button ports include DOOM, Rocket League, Warframe and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus for the Nintendo Switch.
