Panzer Tactics DS rolls out in April

10tacle Studios announced that Panzer Tactics DS, a World War II strategy game, finally has a firm release date of April 2007 for Europe. Panzer Tactics has a lot in common with Advance Wars: Dual Strike. Both use the bottom screen for the map and the top screen for enemy units, both games are turn based and both games use the top screen to display the outcome of battle. The difference is really realism, where Panzer Tactics tries took keep a WWII feel instead of having original art. No US release date has been announced for Panzer Tactics DS, but hopefully it will come out. The DS is the perfect system for handheld strategy games and it needs more of them.

Edit: We were contacted by 10tacle who informed us that Panzer Tactics DS will not be shipping until the summer of 2007 at the earliest. This information is conflicting with our other source that said, "10TACLE STUDIOS’ round-based strategy-title Panzer Tactics DS in April 2007". Since 10tacle updated us, we’re going with the summer 2007 target.
