This game will let players experience scenes from the original Mobile Police Patlabor anime series. It will have Main Missions from the perspectives of the protagonist’s Special Vehicle Section 2, as well as Another Side Missions that feature new perspectives from the enemy side. The action game will feature over 20 playable Labor mechs, including the AV-98 Ingram and the Type-J9 Griffon.

Good Smile Company also confirmed that it will release Patlabor: The Case Files simultaneously worldwide. The game will support not only Japanese but also English, Korean, and Chinese (Traditional and Simplified).

The new game release is also part of a resurgence of Headgear’s anime franchise that launched in 1988 and will have its 40th anniversary in 2028. Bandai Namco is gradually releasing Patlabor Ezy movies in Japanese theaters, with the first episode released in May 2026 and the second one coming soon on August 14, 2026. The third and final chapter will appear in March 2027.
