Pausing Time Is Both A Blessing And A Curse In This Twin-Stick Shooter

The Ambassador is a twin-stick shooter that casts players as Gregor, a man who traded all that he had to become Ambassador of Time. With this title comes the ability to freeze time, but for every moment time is stopped, enemies will grow stronger, faster, and deadlier.

In The Ambassador, players are seeking the Lord of Time in order to get their family back, but the journey to him will never be the same. The game uses procedural generation for every aspect, assigning stats, doling out loot, setting up dungeons, and attacking with monsters in random ways each time. Death is permanent in this game as well, so players will need to take extreme care.

This is where the ability to pause time comes in handy. Players are free to freeze everything but themselves, but when they do, the monsters around them will start to gain hit points. If they keep time frozen even longer, monsters may evolve into more powerful creatures, giving players a deadly shock once they unstop time.

Players will be able to test out the balance between the safety of frozen time and the consequences it brings in December of 2017. The Ambassador is currently raising Greenlight votes and funding on Kickstarter.
