Just like Pentavision told us, the DJ Max Metro Project isn’t a single game, it’s a house brand for a number of new DJ Max games. This was a hint that at least one new DJ Max Portable game was in development. Zach M. points us to (thanks!!) Ruliweb which shows two of them. DJ Max Portable Clazziquai Edition takes songs from the house-y K-pop group Clazziquai. The music fits DJ Max Portable pretty well even if it seems a bit slow compared to other DJ Max songs. Check out one of their songs here.

DJ Max Portable Clazziquai Edition is clearly aimed at Korea since it’s building off an existing fanbase. DJ Max Portable Black Edition appears to be the next evolution of DJ Max Portable, but Pentavision hasn’t said much about it other than it exists. In a teaser clip text flies by listing features such as “New Game Mode”, “Advanced Album Mode”, “Wireless Network”, and “Full Motion Video”.

I’m very curious about the licensed music version of DJ Max Portable Clazziquai Edition. This is a significant step for Pentavision and Korean music games that have nothing to do with Rain or BoA. I wouldn’t expect any Clazziquai songs to appear in the US produced DJ Max Fever. New songs from DJ Max Portable Black Edition are an entirely different story though.
