Crystal Dynamics and The Initiative showed the first gameplay trailer for the new Perfect Dark reboot game during the Xbox Game Showcase 2024. The game will take inspiration from elements of the original first two titles, and will bring a new story and universe for the series.
The new Perfect Dark game stars protagonist Joanna Dark in a new mission to hunt down series’ villain Daniel Carrington. The footage shown in the trailer was set in near-future Cairo, and it showcased some of the tools in Joanna’s arsenal. Combat will allow for lethal and non-lethal options, as well as a variety of ways to take down enemies using stealth or going loud.

The game was originally announced back on December 2020, and it is being co-developed by Crystal Dynamics and The Initiative. This is the first news we have gotten in nearly 4 years since the game’s reveal.
The newPerfect Dark reboot game is currently in development for the Xbox Series X and S, and it will be available day one on Game Pass. There are currently no details on a release date or window for the title.
