During the Summer Game Fest 2026, Atlus finally showed off Persona 6, the new entry in the series for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, for the first time. We got to see an initial teaser, which confirmed the longstanding rumor that the color scheme would be green. However, no actual gameplay footage, characters, or story details appeared. We have no idea what gameplay might look like for the JRPG. All we got was a new logo.

Here’s the first Persona 6 trailer following the game being announced during Summer Game Fest 2026:

It’s been eight years since the last new, mainline game in the Persona series. Persona 5 debuted on the PS3 and PS4 in Japan in September 2016, with a worldwide release following in April 2017. The updated Royal version launched a few years later, showing up in Japan in October 2019 and worldwide on 2020. Ports for additional platforms followed in October 2022.

However, in the meantime we did see a Persona game remake, as Atlus worked on a new version of the third entry. Persona 3 Reload launched worldwide in February 2024, and later that year DLC arrived adding the FES Aigis content.

Persona 6 is in development for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
