Star Ocean makers tri-Ace are currently working on Phantasy Star Nova, an upcoming PlayStation Vita game that borrows elements from Phantasy Star Online. We previously got some details on the game’s setting, and this time, a little look at the game’s character creation feature.
According to the commentator, the character shown is a female Newman character with a class that has already been chosen for her. Since this is still a sneak peek, they won’t be showing the other classes and races just yet.
There are many similarities from what we’ve seen in Phantasy Star Online 2, but Phantasy Star Nova also has its own unique features… in addition to the “boob physics” they chuckle about in the video.
At 0:55 in the video, they show the first difference between Nova and Phantasy Star Online 2, as the latter has a graph-like system for character creation touch-ups, while we get to see a more traditional adjustment bar in the video.
They follow up with a look at some different hairstyles and color customizations. Certain parts of the equipment can also have their colors changed. At 3:15, they show a peek at some of the body shape customizations and adjustment possibilities.
Additionally, they also shared the full version of the earlier trailer that showed us how the story for Phantasy Star Nova begins.
Phantasy Star Nova will be released in 2014 for PlayStation Vita.
