In the case of the Phantom Blade Zero pre-order trailer, it begins with a high-speed chase. We see our protagonist Soul in a horse-drawn cart dealing with enemies pursuing him. He ends up dodging their attacks while also responding in kind. After The Hunt, Hunter of the Order boards the vehicle, it transitions into a full boss fight.

Here’s that footage. The pre-order element of this Phantom Blade Zero trailer refers to the fact that it is now on the PlayStation Store for folks who want to call dibs now.

As for the Phantom Blade Zero State of Play, that will air on  Twitch and YouTube.  It will spend about 20 minutes looking at the game and offering insight into what to expect from it. That can be co-streamed. It’s unknown if there could be any other announcements, for example also bringing up things like a demo, as well.

Phantom Blade Zero will come to the PS5 and PC on October 29, 2026, and the State of Play will be held at 7pm PT/10pm ET on August 17, 2026.
