Phoenix Wright Puzzle Game Has Players Match Gems For A Not Guilty Verdict

Capcom made a quirky puzzle game that’s essentially Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney meets Bejeweled. Turnabout Puzzle: Substitution Turnabout is a gem matching game and when you connect same colored gems you shift the judge’s verdict from guilty to innocent. Match more than five gems and you earn an extra turn. Phoenix Wright can also use evidence items to quickly tilt the meter in his favor.

Turnabout Puzzle: Substitution Turnabout has the same over the top finger pointing sprites and Edgeworth’s shocked expression from the GBA/DS games. Sure, it’s a rehash, but it’s one of Capcom’s clever ideas. Too bad it hasn’t been localized or ported to smartphones. Turnabout Puzzle: Substitution Turnabout is a feature phone game in Japan.
