Piano Black PSP Is The Last PSP

With more gamers moving over to PlayStation Vita, Sony has started limiting PSP production. All other PSP models have been discontinued except the Piano Black PSP-3000 in Japan.

While that’s the standard PSP model in North America, PSP systems came in all colors of the rainbow in Japan. Radiant Red, Bright Yellow, Spirited Green, and Vibrant Blue from the Carnival Colors series plus Blossom Pink were the last PSP colors. All three of those systems were released in 2012.

 

There are some Japanese developers, mostly otome or visual novel publishers, releasing PSP games. Xseed still has a PSP game, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC, scheduled for release in the West and we hear another RPG from a smaller Japanese developer may come over too.
