If M.C. Escher made a video game with line art it would be Echochrome. Developed by Sony’s Japan Studio, Echochrome reminds me of Sega’s Crush mixed with Practical Quotient and Line Rider. In the demo we watched as the figure walked up stairs and teleported through holes to a goal. I liked it because it’s creative, edgy and out of all the unannounced games during Sony’s press conference this was my favorite. Sony plans to release Echochrome for the PSP game and as Playstation 3 downloadable title. There are no details if the versions are going to be priced different or if the are unique puzzles in each.

I’m going to see if I can track a playable build to bring back impressions, but until then see screenshots past the break.
