This title will appear as the second crossover Piczle Cross entry with a Marvelous franchise. Rainy Frog had previously released a similar game themed after Story of Seasons a year prior in February 2024.

Similar to the earlier release, this Piczle Cross game will contain numerous puzzles featuring characters, items, and creatures from the Rune Factory series. There will be a total of 300 single puzzles and 20 collage puzzles available in the game.

The new game’s Steam page also lists more features that were not in the descriptions for the Story of Seasons game. Some of the puzzles in the Rune Factory game will have multiple colors, with an optional color vision aid available for players with color blindness. Players will also be able to have a spouse and weapon appear in the farm area after unlocking them by clearing their respective puzzles.

When Rainy Frog first announced the Rune Factory nonogram game in September 2024, it initially only informed a broad release window in the year 2025. Today’s announcement confirmed that the game will be available rather early in the year, in February 2025.

Piczle Cross: Rune Factory will be available for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on February 20, 2025.
