Kamio Japan has started selling a zakka (miscellaneous merchandise) collection featuring Pikachu from Pokemon. The goods are available in the Pokemon Center stores, as well as stationery shops, character goods shops, and fashion shops. [Thanks, Inside Games!]
On the official website for the Pikachu zakka collection, it states that the release window for the merchandise falls in late April 2024. There is no specific date though. As for the goods, all of the items will feature a simplified version of Pikachu. There are two versions of the Pikachu design. One of them has it looking around, and the other one as it peeking at the viewer.
Here are all the items that are part of Kamio Japan’s Pikachu zakka collection:
- Backpack: 7,480 JPY (~$48)
- Flat pouch: 2,750 JPY (~$17.50)
- Miniature tote bag: 3,960 JPY (~$25)
- Miniature wallet: 3,960 JPY (~$25)
- Pass case: 2.530 JPY (~$16)
- Side pouch: 3,960 JPY (~$25)
- Tote bag: 3,960 JPY (~$25)
These goods follow a recent trend in which Pokemon merchandise seem targeted towards an older audience. Previous goods also focusing on Pikachu include a series of kitchen items, and Nintendo Switch items that featured Pikachu running in a garden. The Pokemon Center also sold household items based on the Netflix series, Pokemon Concierge.
