Finally, Space Invaders: Get Even is out in North America. This twist on the Space Invaders series has players control a UFO with the analog stick and shoot invaders at Earth’s defenses by pointing with the remote. But, beware just like the Japanese version the base pack with one stage and three levels costs 500 Wii Points. ($5) Other expansion packs cost 500 Wii Points a piece.
Pit Crew Panic, this weeks other WiiWare game, has players direct an all female pit crew to fix cars. You point to parts on a Whatsit that need to be repaired and assign a girl to fix them. Hudson’s wacky sense of humor has players automobiles. Whatsits can be anything like cakes and giant toilets. Pit Crew Panic costs 800 Wii Points ($8).
Metal Slug 2 is this weeks only Virtual Console release, but this download probably doesn’t have the combat missions SNK included in the Neo Geo CD release. At 900 Wii Points ($9) Metal Slug fans are much better off pickup up Metal Slug Anthology or possibly waiting for Metal Slug X, an rearranged version of Metal Slug 2 with more features to come out on the Virtual Console later.
