PixelJunk Monsters Joins The Nintendo Wii U In North America

A former PlayStation exclusive has come to a Nintendo platform. People in North America who visit the Nintendo Wii U eShop today will find PixelJunk Monsters among the other newly released titles. For $9.99, you can go through it again or with a friend.

 

PixelJunk Monsters is a tower defense game where players control Tikiman and help him protect his three island homes from monsters trying to destroy it and eat members of his family. You place various towers to protect the babies, either alone or with a friend offering assistance. The Nintendo Wii U version of the game has three islands with 47 environments, as well as the randomly generated Tum-Tum island levels.

 

Originally, PixelJunk Monsters appeared on the PlayStation 3 in 2007 in Japan and 2008 worldwide, with an Encore edition with additional content shortly after in 2008. PlayStation Portable, PlayStation Vita, and PC ports followed/
