Platforming and flying fish collide on the PSP in Umihara Kawase

Out of the blue, Marvelous is reviving the odd Umihara Kawase franchise with a new PSP game next year. I remember playing Umihara Kawase on the Super Famicom and it handles like Bionic Commando in fish land. You jump around, swing from an elastic fishing line and catch fish. Umihara Kawase sounds unusual because it is and it looks like the PSP game is set in the same strange universe. The first screenshots also show Umihara Kawase PSP is in 2.5D! This is a fitting game design choice because the heart of Umihara Kawase is tight 2D leaps.
