With social networks like Facebook and Twitter, people have an option to follow or receive notifications when specified users make new posts. People with PlayStation 4s now have that same ability. Sony has released PlayStation 4 firmware 3.10. While largely unremarkable and a stability update, it also adds the ability to follow accounts.

The PlayStation 4 follow ability applies only to verified accounts. If someone knows the PlayStation ID of a developer or game studio, they can choose to follow them in Profile, What’s New, and Friends. Once followed, their activities will appear under What’s New on the system menu. Possible people to follow include Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony Worldwide Studios, whose verified PSN is “yosp” and Adam Boys, Vice President of Publisher and Developer Relations at PlayStation, whose ID is DaBooya.

In addition, new stickers have been added with the PlayStation 4 firmware 3.10 update.
