People who update their PlayStation 4 firmware to 6.50 will have a new way to game on the go. Sony’s latest update for the console makes PlayStation 4 remote play possible on iOS devices. Once people download the update, which is available immediately, they can then download the app from the iTunes Store for their iPhone or iPad.
Once someone updates and has the PS4 Remote Play app running on their Apple iOS device, they will be able to begin streaming games to the smartphone or tablet. You can play in landscape or portrait mode, though it appears you are limited to on-screen controls and can’t use a DualShock 4 with it. The app will use your device’s virtual keyboard for text and built-in mic for voice chatting.
