Sony Interactive Intertainment announced the winners of the PlayStation Partner Awards 2023 Japan Asia. These awards honor the best-performing PlayStation games that were released in Japan and other Asian countries between October 1, 2022 and September 30, 2023.
The first one on the list is the Users’ Choice Award. The following five titles received the highest amount of votes from PlayStation users in Japan and other Asian countries.
- Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon by FromSoftware
- Resident Evil 4 Remake by Capcom
- Final Fantasy XVI by Square Enix
- Persona 5 Royal by Atlus
- Hogwarts Legacy by Warner Bros.
Sony also handed out the Special Award to three titles for different considerations. Hogwarts Legacy received a distinction for being a title developed in the West that reached the highest sales on PS5 in Japan and Asia. Street Fighter 6 also received the award for being a title developed in Japan with a lot of accessibility features for players with disabilities. Finally, Resident Evil Village VR Mode had the best worldwide sales on the PlayStation VR2.

The Partner Award went to seven titles in the overall top ten that recorded impressive worldwide sales and player amounts.

- Elden Ring by FromSoftware
- Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- Reunion by Square Enix

Finally, the most prestigious award in this event is the Grand Award. Sony gave the awards to the top three titles made by Japanese and Asian companies with the highest combined physical and digital worldwide sales on the PlayStation platforms.

- Final Fantasy XVI by Square Enix
The winners of PlayStation Partner Awards 2023 Japan Asia’s Grand Award—Genshin Impact, Resident Evil 4 Remake, and Final Fantasy XVI—are all available on PlayStation 5. Genshin Impact is also available on the PS4, PC, iOS, and Android, with a Switch version still under development. Resident Evil 4 Remake is also playable on the PS4, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and iOS devices. Final Fantasy XVI will come to PCs in the near future.
