Sony announced that the PlayStation Live Events Viewer, the app that allows users to watch in-demand pay-per-view as well as free events on PS4 and PS3, will be discontinued on January 10, 2017.

According to DualShockers, in a recent email sent to PSN subscribers, Sony Interactive Entertainment also announced that PS4 users won’t have any issues, as they’ll be able to directly purchases live events from the PlayStation Store starting January 10, by simply making the purchase and checking out the “My Videos” area of the store.

While PS4 users get the new option, PS3 users won’t, meaning they’ll no longer have access to view live events.

Sony’s Live Events Viewer launched back in 2013 as a free app on PS3 to view on-demand content. It followed up with the PS4 launch the next year.
