The Pokemon Fossil Museum special event will come to three new museums, with more locations planned for a later date. The new locations include the National Museum of Nature and Science, Toyohashi Museum of Natural History, and Oita Prefectural Art Museum. Each event will feature large-scale exhibitions of Pokemon fossils, some as large as real-life dinosaur fossils. Some of the locations will offer never-before-seen interpretations of Pokemon fossils as well.

As of writing, only the National Museum of Nature and Science has a confirmed event period. Each museum will announce concrete event windows at a later date.

The Pokemon Fossil Museum event originally started back in July 2021, with the Mikasa City Museum in Hokkaido Prefecture as the first location. While the traveling exhibit was expected to extend into Summer 2022, the Oita Prefectural Art Museum is a new addition to the line-up. The event is currently active at the Shimane Prefectural Nature Museum of Mt. Sanbe “Sahimel” until January 30, 2022.
