Now that the Pokemon Fossil Museum is about to open at the Chicago Field Museum on May 22, 2026, the online Pokemon Center storefront started selling merchandise tied to the event. Most notable is an Excavator Pikachu plush based on the official art for this Pokemon event. It is all available for a limited time while supplies last.
Many of the items focus on that Pikachu variant. Like many of the special edition Pokemon Pikachu plush, the Excavator version is dressed in a full costume. It stands at about eight inches tall. The outfit doesn’t seem removable. It costs $29.99. We also see the character on items like a keychain, pin, sweatshirt, and TCG accessories.
